Dr. Fabrizio D’Ambrogio was born in Rome (RM) on December 16, 1964.

In 1983, he obtained his Scientific High School diploma from the Liceo Scientifico Statale in Grottaferrata (Rome). In 1996, he graduated with a degree in Electronic Engineering (Telecommunications branch) from the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”. In 1997, he obtained his professional qualification as an Engineer from the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”.

Training

Dr. D’Ambrogio’s professional training began in 2009 with two significant experiences: the first as a Project Management Programme with Finmeccanica S.p.A., and the second with a Basic Intelligence Course at the Interforce Training Center for Intelligence/Electronic Warfare (CIFI/GE) – SMD. Between 2010 and 2011, he attended the Interforce Training Center for Intelligence/Electronic Warfare (CIFI/GE) – SMD, taking an Advanced Intelligence Course and a Basic OSINT Course. In 2016, he attended the Institut des hautes études de défense nationale (IHEDN) with a SERA Course (European Session For Armament Officials).

Work Experience

Between 2010 and 2014: Selex ES S.p.A – Selex SI S.p.A., Rome (RM) Intelligence/Command and Control Systems/Virtual Shooting Ranges. Business Unit Manager and Program Manager. He coordinated a program for AISE aimed at creating a central IT system to make the organization’s information assets usable. He managed a program to create an IT system to support intelligence activities carried out by the Interforce Intelligence Center, which, by exploiting the features of semantic analysis, helped operational personnel in the work of enhancement, evaluation, analysis, and forecasting. He coordinated the program concerning the security certification of an Air Force Command and Control system (ReGISCC). He managed the supply of firearm training systems (virtual shooting ranges) integrated into complete training solutions.

Between 2014 and 2019: Vitrociset S.p.A., Rome (RM), Cyber Security & Intelligence in the role of Cyber Security Manager and Cyber & Intelligence Competence Centre Manager. Activities aimed at ensuring the protection of physical assets and the integrity of company information from cyber space threats. He managed the Cyber & Intelligence Competence Centre, established within Vitrociset to oversee and develop the Cyber Security and Intelligence market.

Since 2019, he has been working at Alfa System S.p.A., Rome (RM) in Cyber Security & Intelligence as Defence Area Manager. Activities aimed at establishing/structuring a Business Unit dedicated to the commercialization of products and services for the Defence, Public Administration, and National Critical Infrastructure markets.

Additional Information

Over the past 15 years, Dr. Fabrizio D’Ambrogio has developed a deep understanding of environments related to the intelligence sector (civil and technical-military), both in operational and technical-administrative contexts. His participation in a series of specialized training courses provided by the Interforce Training Center for Intelligence/Electronic Warfare and various international conferences/workshops on intelligence and cyber security topics and tools (Brussels, Oslo, Tel Aviv, etc.) have contributed to increasing his awareness of the specific needs and issues of these fields. His work experiences in the military environment (particularly the Air Force) have also contributed to the development/perfection of both organizational and relational skills. For example, he organized the participation of his company’s personnel in various military exercises, including international ones (such as “Spring Flag” and/or “Squalo”), to support the Air Force in the use of the systems provided.
